The first review is up already? Well will wonders never cease. Now if i could just churn out podcasts at this rate things would be golden. Those are still coming by the way. 5 are in the can and I’m editing them one by one.

In this post I give my introduction to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe touching on some common traits of the series and then I delve right into a review of the episode “The Cosmic Comet”. Click the post to read on.

All this talk about the Geek Cast Radio Network’s Top 100 cartoons of all time list got me thinking about which cartoons I consider to be the best of all time but rather than even attempt to do top 100 at this time I thought I’d narrow it down to one genre and under 15. I actually was going to go with 11 but then I thought of another and I couldn’t bare to leave any of them off the list so I made it 12.

Sketch Muses: Re-Learing to Share

Posted: March 28, 2011 by Sketch in Authors, Musing, Sketch

Sharing is an elementary or even pre-school concept most children are taught as early as they can comprehend. It’s a big part of coexisting with other people and should be an easy to understand concept if children are capable of it. None the less some of us could use a refresher course.

Not too long ago I stumbled upon an interesting show on The History Channel called Life After People. It used scientific findings to predict what life “after people” would be like for planet earth. Well I don’t have any scientific findings here but I thought I’d apply their gimmick to a post mortem timeline for the late great Toonami block. It’s been over 2 years and much has changed. In fact, so much has changed that a lot of people probably did not even notice everything that has happened since Toonami was taken off the air. Action animation and anime have found new venues and are now more available to viewers than ever before. So without further ado I present to you, life after Toonami.

This week we’re joined by CountAbyss to discuss Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. We’re starting to call the show the “fashionably late cartoon podcast” for obvious reasons. This is the first episode which has a short cut for streaming on Toon Radio as well as a long version for download. Dragonpiece and I recorded an extended news segment for this episode because we ended up delaying the release of this episode because some of the news was out of date. It was recorded before the Planet Sheen episode while the extra news was recorded a few weeks after. We did this to stay up to date with the news and as long as we release an episode the week we record it, that should always be the case in the future. Except for this one because now it’s a week late but the news is still plenty new. As always we hope you enjoy this week’s episode of Not Another Old Cartoon Podcast and hope that it wont be the “fashionably late cartoon podcast” for much longer.

In this episode Dragonpiece and I get you caught up on the latest animation news and then we head right into a discussion of Planet Sheen. If we learned anything from recording this episode it’s, we are better off with at least three critics and Dragonpiece and I need to do a better job checking our facts and by that I mean we need to check our facts period (you can see our mistakes after the jump). As always we hope you enjoy this week’s episode of Not Another Old Cartoon Podcast
