Hey guys, today I got a very special email from Turner Broadcasting about this year’s Cartoon Network upfront: now what you are about to see is the official thing from them. Check back soon, because all of our thoughts on the upfront will be revealed soon on Not Another Old Cartoon Podcast! But for now just ooh and ahh over the exciting announcements!
This week we’re joined by CountAbyss to discuss Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. We’re starting to call the show the “fashionably late cartoon podcast” for obvious reasons. This is the first episode which has a short cut for streaming on Toon Radio as well as a long version for download. Dragonpiece and I recorded an extended news segment for this episode because we ended up delaying the release of this episode because some of the news was out of date. It was recorded before the Planet Sheen episode while the extra news was recorded a few weeks after. We did this to stay up to date with the news and as long as we release an episode the week we record it, that should always be the case in the future. Except for this one because now it’s a week late but the news is still plenty new. As always we hope you enjoy this week’s episode of Not Another Old Cartoon Podcast and hope that it wont be the “fashionably late cartoon podcast” for much longer.

In this episode Dragonpiece and I get you caught up on the latest animation news and then we head right into a discussion of Planet Sheen. Hello. My name is tetrisdork. Some of you know me as Vyse over on the ToonZone forums. Some of you know me on Twitter by the same alias I’m going by right now. You also may have seen my work (under my real name of Jonathan) over on nerd-interest site gaijINside and its Twitter feed during Anime Weekend Atlanta. And, for the past couple of weeks, you heard me on the Notaku Diaries on this very blog. Well, the Scratch Pad crew behind the podcast invited me to stay and help contribute to The [Real] Scratch Pad. And, upon a suggestion by friend-of-the-program Dragonpiece concerning problems downloading the podcast, I am now officially TRSP’s media manager. The following post will detail our current situations involving Notaku Diaries, NAOCP, upcoming articles, and miscellaneous site upkeep. After the jump, I’ll address everything I can think of.

In this episode we pay tribute to the late great Robotomy. I meant to get this episode up before the last episode aired on Cartoon Network but unfortunately I was not able to do that. This episode was recorded a few weeks ago so the news is a bit out-dated but if you haven’t heard it yet then it’s still news to you. Every week I’ll be joined by my co-host Dragon Piece along my good buddy and the host of Anime Abomination, Don East. In fact we’ll be joined by a different guest often if not every week.
